Veterans Florida is a non-profit corporation created by the State of Florida to help Veterans fully transition to civilian life in the Sunshine State. The organization connects Veterans to employers, grants fund to employers to hire and train Veterans, and educates Veterans on how to open their own businesses in Florida.
Veterans Florida selected Action Zone to facilitate the entrepreneurship program, the VFEP,
for the Tampa Bay and surrounding region.
Action Zone's program is different from any other offered in the state. It includes discovery and application phases to help you gauge your readiness to build a business and your willingness and availability to commit to the program.
The core program includes business modeling to create a viable, sustainable business and storytelling workshops to build your speaking and pitching skills so important to communicating your business to potential customers and investors. At the completion of the core program, selected participants enrolled in Action Zone's program receive post-program instruction to guide your next steps, including long-term strategy development and effective business practices to help you grow.
You will complete Action Zone's program with a more comprehensive picture of your business, the community and resources you will need to be successful, and tools to continue to grow the business you launch during the program.
